Each challenge must include a means for integrating tools and technologies specialized in collecting, analyzing, and applying oceanic data in their idea and prototype. The registration process includes an evaluation stage for the submitted projects, from which a total of 10 submissions will be chosen.

Ocean Pollution

Team will be prompted to devise solutions to combat plastic pollution, nutrient influx, and other types of pollution affecting the Maldives' oceans.

Ocean Energy

Teams will delve into possibilities for harnessing renewable energy within the Maldives' oceans, encompassing offshore wind, wave, and tidal energy.

Coastal Protection & Island Community Resilience

Team will be tasked with devising solutions aimed at safeguarding coastal communities and vulnerable island ecosystems against the repercussions of climate change, such as rising sea levels, storm surges, and extreme weather events.
